DMW star act, Mayorkun has had a fantastic year with his miraculous signing to Davido’sDMW to releasing his debut single “Eleko” and having his video breaking record on Youtube, it’s evident that he is destined for greatness.
This years Headies nominee list is out and all Mayorkun fans never expected to find out that their artiste is not in any of the categories. It’s a big blow not only to Mayorkun but also to his boss Davido who earlier this made a statement that if Mayorkun doesn’t win the Next Rated award he is going to pull a Kanye on Headies. Well now there is nothing to pull since his artiste wasn’t even nominated not to talk of winning.
Mayorkun had a chat with Hip TV the organizers of the award and he said he see it coming that his name wasn’t in the Next Rated category but he has no problem with the organizers since the artistes selected were very good artistes who did very well this year. He also said since he hasn’t even clocked one year in the industry he was hoping to atleast get nomination slot in the Rookies Of The Year category.
He spoke about his latest song with Mr Eazi and his fashion outfit which he intends to start next year.
